Dressmaking with Leticia Winter

This is a short 3 week course, aimed at beginners to create a stylish Simplicity wrap dress from ‘Gertrude Made’ by Australian designer Cathi Bessel Brown. You will explore basic dressmaking construction techniques, and finish seams using traditional methods, without the need for an overlocker!
This dress wraps in the back with rear neckline options and ties in front. Optional patch pockets finish the front. This pattern was specifically designed to pair with Outback wife barkcloth fabric range, and is also suitable to be make in light medium weight quality fabrics such as linen and cotton sateen.
Simplicity pattern 8570 (included in the cost of the class), Fabric yardage as per pattern, 1/2 metre of light fusible interfacing (bias cut fabric or bias tape can be created or purchased week 2 as required).
Sewing Machine, fabric and paper scissors, pins, hand sewing needle, tape measure.
