Every Thursday these ladies fill our shop with happy chatter and busy hands. The love and care that we see in these ladies making the quilts for others is quite special and we have had the privilege to watch many of the quilts they donate to charity come together.
With over 50 quilts laid out on the tables last week, we enjoyed a morning tea while they handed over the quilts to QE11. Most of the quilts made go towards the Grandparents Program at QE11, which help support grandparents who are the primary carers for their grandchildren. The quilting group have also supplied a quilt for every bed at the Ronald McDonald House at Canberra Hospital when it first opened, supplying regular replacements.
What an amazing job these ladies do!
